Jason Moyle

Comedy Special - Rock Lobster

Rock Lobster is a Comedy Special which will be repeated again at 7pm on Good Friday, 15 April 2022 at 7pm.

It's a situation comedy written by CHBN's Jason Moyle and it stars Jason Moyle alongside Karen Webster as two lucky lottery jackpot winners who have decided to use their winnings to buy their local pub and revive its flagging fortunes. But the village residents are less than happy.

The programme features other members of the CHBN presenting team in a full supporting cas and was recorded, edited and produced by Mike Brown and Peter Dowsett.

At Home With CHBN

A team from CHBN Radio, Truro’s Community Radio and Cornwall’s Hospital Radio will be broadcasting live from their homes continuously for 100 hours and 48 minutes between 8am on Friday 19th March and 12:48pm on Tuesday 23rd March 2021.

The length of the broadcast is 100.8 hours - the same as CHBN's FM Frequency across Truro and the surrounding areas.

Supporting our Community

As Truro's Community Radio station, CHBN is here to support our community.

We want to do everything possible to help those in our community through these challenging times.

From Monday 23rd March we will broadcast a special show for our community each weekday between 10am and 12noon.

The show will highlight the many great things that are happening in Truro and the surrounding area currently and will feature contributions from right across the community.

CHBN's 50 Hour Marathon Broadcast

To help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Royal Cornwall Hospital, CHBN broadcast live for 50 Hours from the Trelawny Wing Reception Area, Royal Cornwall Hospital between 8am on Monday 2nd May to 10am on Wednesday 4th May 2016.

8am on Monday 2nd May - 9am on Tuesday 3rd May
The first 25 hours were shared between several CHBN Presenters who were entertaining listeners through the day - and night.

Help Stop the Spread of Norovirus

Please stay away from our hospitals and care homes if you’ve had sickness or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours because it’s affecting people’s ability to recover from serious illness.

It is also important that people should avoid going to the emergency department at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro if they are able manage the symptoms themselves; you should still go to the emergency department if you need emergency medical attention, but please tell staff if you have diarrhoea or sickness symptoms.
