Help Stop the Spread of Norovirus

Please stay away from our hospitals and care homes if you’ve had sickness or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours because it’s affecting people’s ability to recover from serious illness.

It is also important that people should avoid going to the emergency department at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro if they are able manage the symptoms themselves; you should still go to the emergency department if you need emergency medical attention, but please tell staff if you have diarrhoea or sickness symptoms.

CHBN Scoops National Award

CHBN is delighted to have scooped the Silver Award for Best Special Event coverage at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2024, which took place in Winchester.

The programme provided direct live coverage of the concert given in the RCHT Chapel to celebrate last year's 75th anniversary of the NHS. The programme consisted of speeches given by staff, administrators, executives and patients, along with songs by the magnificent Four Lanes Male Choir.

Justin Leigh Visits CHBN Studio

Truro’s hospital and community radio station welcomed a very special guest into its new studio at the Royal Cornwall Hospital this weekend.

Spotlight front man Justin Leigh is also Honorary President of CHBN Radio, and this was his first chance to see the station’s new second studio which has been in operation since the station launched across the community on 100.8 FM in April 2014.

Around 15 of the station’s members were on hand to meet Justin and talk about what they do at CHBN.
