CHBN Nominated For King's Award for Voluntary Service

Volunteers from CHBN Radio attended a ceremony at New County Hall in Truro on Thursday afternoon as one of 17 organisations nominated for the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

It was a great honour to be amongst the other nominated organisations, ranging from mental health support, to tree planting, to community development projects. CHBN extends our heartfelt congratulations to everyone!

Cllr Rob Nolan, Chairman of Cornwall Council, explained the reasons behind each nomination and Colonel Sir Edward Bolitho KCVO OBE, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall presented a certificate to a representative from each organisation.

The winners of the award will be announced on the King's birthday in November.
