Liz Pengilley
Presenter

Liz joined CHBN in June 2026, and presents The Chill Café on Tuesday evenings.

Liz says: "I have wanted to be a radio presenter since I was young. I have loved listening to the radio from an early age, because I feel presenters have a great way of connecting with their audience. To be honest it gives me so much joy curating the chill playlists every week, and listening to music, and I hope it gives joy to the listeners too.

"It's also a great way of feeling a part of something, particularly in hospital radio, connecting with someone that might need to unwind for a bit, particularly if they have had a busy day. When I first started at CHBN I hadn't had any previous experience in radio, so it's been amazing to learn the technical side of things, and it gives me a real buzz being on air.

Away from radio I am an illustrator and designer here in Truro, and love drawing, I mainly draw dogs, and I could talk about dogs all day.

A fascinating fact is I have appeared as an extra in Poldark and the Fisherman's Friends films, and it was fascinating to see behind- the-scenes.
